PRINCIPALS AND OBJECTIVES

Weeting 21 unites people, ideas, and resources to tackle social and economic issues in a village which experiences significant deprivation. Weeting 21 is a charity and company limited by guarantee which is improving quality of life and opportunity through community led regeneration.

Weeting 21 is a dynamic member led organisation; local people, statutory and voluntary sector partners combine to create and implement the vision, and manage the services, community/social enterprises and assets.

Weeting 21 focuses on creating the environment for social regeneration by bringing people together to identify needs and issues, and work collectively to address them, economic regeneration by stimulating lifelong learning, enterprise and jobs and physical regeneration building the infrastructure to support social and economic regeneration.

Weeting 21 stimulates regeneration through identifying need, building relationships and partnerships, coordinating delivery plans, managing services and attracting new resources to deliver projects and activities.

Weeting 21 is building community capital and ensuring services, assets, and enterprises anchor community wealth locally.

Weeting 21 faces considerable challenges delivering complex, publicly funded programmes, responding to identified needs, deepening community engagement as well as developing income streams to ensure the long term sustainability of core business and projects, through fundraising, bids for public funds, and developing assets.
